Zoysia

Zoysia Turf Grass

Zoysia turf is known for its ability to stand up to heat, drought, heavy foot traffic. A dark green color with a fine blade is a great warm season grass with improved cold tolerance. Zoysia has low water and maintenance requirements. While it will tolerate some shade, Zoysia prefers full sun. Forming a thick, dense carpet of grass, Zoysia is great for lawns used heavily for entertaining.

St Augustine

St. Augustine Plug

St. Augustine grass is one of the most popular lawn grasses in Florida, thanks to its tolerance of heat and humidity. Its broad blue-green blades form a dense turf that establishes quickly and easily. St. Augustine is one of the most shade tolerant grasses, needing only about 4 hours of sun per day; however, it thrives in full sun. This grass requires a moderate maintenance level, doing best with irrigation and well drained soil. St. Augustine can grow in a variety of soil types with exception of places waterlogged or prone to drought conditions.

Bahia

Bahia Grass

Bahia was originally known as a pasture grass, but has risen in popularity for use in home lawns. Bahia does best in full sun, and does not do well in shade. Requiring very limited water and fertilizer, Bahia is widely used for erosion control. This sod type does well in a wide variety of soil types and is ideal for landscapes lacking irrigation systems. This low maintenance sod forms a deep root system making it a great choice in sandy, infertile soils.
